Koh Lipe is a tropical island off Thailand’s west coast in the Andaman Sea. Koh Lipe’s location within the protected Tarutao National Marine Park makes it one of Thailand’s most magnificent islands to visit. Dive locations are extremely beautiful, with crystal clear water and magnificent soft corals. The currents may be strong here, providing plenty of possibilities for drift diving. From the boat, dolphin sightings are frequent, and the very lucky could get to swim with a whale shark. Koh Lipe offers more than 20 dive sites, and there are many different kinds of diving sites there. Every kind of diver will find something to enjoy at Lipe, from spectacular wall dives to small nursery reefs.

Dive sites in Koh Lipe you should not miss
The “Stonehenge” dive site at Koh Lipe, is one of Thailand’s best scuba diving destinations. This dive site is abundant in colourful soft corals, resulting in stunning and lively reefs. Barracudas, trevally, and yellow snapper schools are frequently seen.
“Sawang” is another dive site for smaller and macro lovers, with seahorses, shrimps, crabs, nudibranchs, and frogfishes. In the evening at Koh Lipe, we will watch the sunset while relaxing, photographing, and eating some stack.
Another must-visit diving location close to Koh Kai is “Kaiyoi,” which offers a richness of soft corals, vibrant reefs, and an abundance of marine life equally spectacular as “Stonehenge”.
“Koh Talu” is a diving spot near Koh Adang. For those who enjoy little macro creatures, here is the place to explore a variety of nudibranchs, frogfishes, and rhinopias. Coral Cat Sharks can be spotted under the rocks here. Whale sharks have occasionally been seen here if you’re lucky.
“8 Mile Rock” is the highlight of this route. Large trevally schools may be observed hunting along the wall, and there is a possible chance of spotting a whale shark or manta ray. In the past, 5 whale sharks have been seen in a single dive; don’t miss up on the chance.
The last dive site will be “Kong Hin Khao,” also called “White Rock,” on Koh Bulon Le. Fewer people will come to observe the richness of this coral reef area. This location also has white coral. Several nudibranchs may be found in the sand at a depth of 18 meters.
